THE BLUE MOUNTAINS

The Blue Mountains is a town in Grey County, southwestern Ontario, Canada. It is named for the Blue Mountain and the economy of the town is centered on tourism, particularly on the Blue Mountain ski resort, the private Georgian Peaks, Osler, Craigleith and Alpine Ski Clubs. The Blue Mountains has a host of recreational activities for all the seasons, in particular is the winter skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. In the summer there is hiking trails, downhill/cross-country biking and several golf courses. Craigleith provides a superb beach area for swimming and wind surfers. The Village at Blue offers boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants, hotels and chalets. Visit the Scandinave Spa which is situated on 25 acres or spend a day at the Scenic Caves.
